The Institute publishes a series of theoretical and empirical monographs entitled Models and Cases in the International System. The first to appear in the summer of 1999 was a multi-author study entitled The Becoming of Returnee States, and comparing the cases of Palestine, Armenia and Bosnia. The second, currently in the press, is a bilingual study of the history and future prospects of UN peacekeeping operations by the President (Warden) of St. Antony’s College, Oxford University and former Under Secretary of the United Nations for Political Affairs, Sir Marrack Goulding. The third, currently being prepared, deals in a synthetic and broadly interpretive manner with the question of the nature of Palestinian jurisprudence and the emerging legal system. A few of the best Masters theses of our students will be published in a special series, and the following members of our staff are preparing manuscripts for publication in a separate series: Ibrahim Abu- Lughod and Ali Jarbawi. |
