Supervision
Department
Director: Eng. Dawoud Tarazi
Responsibilities:
- To prepare the work-plan of the department,
supervise its implementation and develop the plan whenever needed.
- To examine the claim bills of the contractors
before referring them to the director of the storage and supply department, in accordance
with the conditions of the tender and the implementation.
- To follow up on the implementation of the projects
in accordance with the technical specifications and the tender conditions of the
contractors.
- To look for, locally and internationally, funds
needed for the engineering projects.
- To attend seminars, conferences and workshop
related to the work of the department.
- To present monthly reports on the achievements of
the department to the mayor and other departments of the municipality.
- To present reports on the performance of the
department employees to the concerned parties.

Section
of Supervision
Head of the Section: Taiseer Abu Aasi, Engineer
Responsibilities:
- To supervise the implementation of different
projects (water, sewage, roads buildings, rain water drainage, parks, gardens) in
accordance with the tenders and plans.
- To prepare the extracts required for giving the
payments to the contractors according to what has been implemented.
- To participate in the committees which receive the
projects after they are completed.
- To check the buildings which are about to fall and
prepare the necessary technical reports.
Section
of Traffic Engineering
Deputy Director of the Supervision Department and Head of the Section: Khalil Shaqra,
Engineer
Responsibilities:
- To install, work and maintain the equipment and
tools needed for controlling traffic like traffic lights, road signs, paint, road
crossings.
- To prepare engineering plans for intersections,
roads and critical sites.
- To prepare specifications, measures and tenders for
the substances and equipment necessary for traffic.
- To collect and organize information and statistics
on traffic To participate in traffic work and contact with the authority bodies concerned
with traffic works.
Section
of Road Maintenance
Head of the Section: Munther Al-Ghazali, Engineer
Responsibilities:
- To maintain the roads covered with asphalt and
gravel.
- To maintain dirt roads by using graders and ditch
diggers.
- To maintain and repair drainage ditches (water,
sewage, rain water).
- To prepare and repair rain water drainage pipes,
metal fences for protecting trees and all blacksmith works.
- To organize transfer operations for the different
sections.
- To participate in emergency works.
Section
of Maintenance of Municipality Facilities
Head of the Section: Waleed Khayal, Engineer
Responsibilities:
- To maintain, restore and paint all the municipality
buildings and facilities.
- To construct buildings, awnings and walls for the
properties of the municipality.
- To install electricity and water for the buildings
and facilities of the municipality.
Section
of Gardens
Head of the Section: Hamzeh Mqat, Engineer
Responsibilities:
- To establish new gardens and parks in the city.
- To restore, maintain the parks and plant trees in
them.
- To maintain the daily cleanliness of parks and
prepare them to receive visitors.
