This center is driven
by the belief that the ability to play and the right to play are crucial to the healthy
development of all children. Only healthy children, children who grow up with anger,
hatred, violence and fear, are children who can make a peace that will truly be lasting
for decades. Palestinian children have had their childhood taken away from them. With
Is'ad Al-Tofola Park Center, we hope to give the children back their childhood, and to
provide them with chance for a life filled with laughter, fun, healthy development
and peace.
This center is
a result of the efforts, meetings, and workshops between the Gaza Municipality and the
Welfare Association and many other social associations interested in the childhood sector
in Palestine.
The center
represents a symbol of Palestinian culture and heritage, covering some of the different
aspects of Palestinian life. The center was built by local experts.
Similar centers
exist in Nablus, El-Bireh, and Hebron, which shows organic relationship between the
