The
Community Centers Holst Cultural Park Overview
In the memory of the late Norwegian foreign minister J.J. Holst and his
contribution to building a long and lasting peace, Gaza Municipality has
created the Holst Park with financial assistance of the Norwegian
ministry of foreign affairs.
Holst Park has
been built for the children of Gaza (from 6 to 15). It is a place where the children can
play and learn, where they can read, practice and play music, where they can develop their
creativity through painting or acting, where they can increase their abilities in sports
or computer through its different activities and training. Holst Park aims at
strengthening the Palestinian identity as well as encouraging the discovery of the outside
world by providing activities such as: Computer Training, Sport, Music,
Library, Theatre and Arts & Crafts.
