MarketingBusiness Management and Marketing for Small-Scale ProjectsThis course introduced the principles and aims of marketing for managers and owners of small businesses. It differentiated between marketing and other commercial activities. International MarketingThis DAI sponsored course was offered to directors, managers and other staff of private associations and aimed to strengthen the ability of participants to manage their organizations and improve the delivery of their services. Participants were trained in understanding the concept of marketing, identifying target markets, developing production to fit international markets, recognizing the strategies of entering the international market, pricing production, advertising and promotion. Marketing for Small BusinessesThis course was sponsored by DAI and offered information on marketing techniques for small businesses in the West Bank. Marketing Research TechniquesThis DAI sponsored course was offered to managers of marketing departments, sales managers and sales persons and aimed at training participants in how to recognize the importance of market research, design market research that would fit the local market, design special MR questionnaires, collect and analyse data and write a final report. Product Planning, Costing & PricingThis DAI sponsored course was offered to project managers, managers of marketing departments and production managers with the aim of introducing modern concepts of product planning, costing and pricing. The course outlined the following topics: Introduction to Product Planning, Market Segmentation, Cost Information, Cost Concepts and Classification, Break-Even Analysis (single product case), Break-Even Analysis (multi product case), MIS and Cost Improvement, Pricing Methods -Overview and Cost-Plus Pricing, Rate of Return Pricing, Contribution Margin Pricing, Export Pricing, Gathering Marketing Information, Pricing New Products, Pricing Products in Their Prime and Pricing Products in Decline. Factory Management and MarketingThis course offered an introduction to factory management and marketing and was held in co-operation with the Ramallah Chamber of Commerce.
