Professional Memberships and Certification

During the 1995-1996 period, the Continuing Education Department has expanded its contacts with relevant organizations both locally and internationally. Programming for the department has evolved on a needs assessment basis, with co-ordinators from the department assessing needs in various fields and approaching relevant institutions for co-operation in offering training. CED has also been approached by organizations who have conducted their own needs assessments and have identified CED as the most effective organization to implement identified training needs.

Organizations with which CED has co-operated this past year include the following: Foundation for International Training (Canada), the Near East Cultural and Educational Center of Canada, the University of Missouri, Maastricht School of Management, Finnish Broadcasting Services, the European Economic Community (EEC), UNDP, Development Alternatives, Inc. and the Ministry of Planning and Co-operation, through AMIDEAST.
