General ManagementThe bulk of CED’s training courses fall under the subject of management training. Courses are divided into the following five fields: General Management; Financial Management; Marketing; Project Management; and Human Resource Management. Courses are both standardized and tailor-made and are offered to both the public and private sector, as well as to local non-governmental organizations. CED has a pool of qualified local trainers who deliver management courses, as well as frequent co-operation with international organizations and trainers. Public SectorManagement & Decision MakingThis course was offered for managers in both public and private sectors and covered the following topics: Management Today; Identification of Main Objectives of Institution; Management Functions; Organizational Structure, and Resource Allocation. Training of Administrative Assistants in the Palestinian AuthorityThis AMIDEAST sponsored capacity building course was offered to administrative assistants and executive secretaries working in the Palestinian Authority. The course introduced the workings of the public sector and trained in the enhancement of communication skills, problem solving, Organizational behavior and office management. Management and Strategic Planning Within GovernmentThis course focused on the fundamental principles of good management and how to apply them in a public sector organization. Participants developed knowledge and skills in: principles of management/administration; definition of organizational goals; development of policies and procedures of management objective; fundamentals of policy making and problem solving; delegation authority and responsibility; human resources planning. Private SectorHousing Management: IntroductionThis course introduced participants to the latest managerial skills and planning techniques in housing construction. Management & Decision MakingThis course was offered for managers in both public and private sectors and covered the following topics: Management Today; Identification of Main Objectives of Institution; Management Functions; Organizational Structure, and Resource Allocation. NGOBusiness Associations Management and Membership DevelopmentThis DAI sponsored course offered capacity building training for various Palestinian Chambers of Commerce. Samir Baydoun, Dr. M.
