Resource and  Research Sites        Directory of Scholarly and Professional E-Conferences on Women's Studies/Gender Studies   A listing of different email conferences and list-serves available on the internet.  The listing does not provide any information about the different list-serves.    Feminist Activist Resources on the Net   This site is a tremendous resource that provides links to sites related to what it refers to as feminist issues such as reproductive rights, sexual harassment, political and economic issues, etc...    Feminist.Com  Provides information about, and link sites related to a number of different issues.  This site is very comprehensive and has a nice combination of practice and theory.    Feminist Internet Gateway  Provides link sites relating to various subjects.  A great starting point when starting research.    H-Women's Discussion Group  H-Women is a member of the H-NET Humanities & Social Sciences OnLine initiative. H-WOMEN encourages scholarly discussion to communicate current research and teaching  interests, to discuss new approaches, methods and tools of analysis, to test new ideas and to share comments on current historiography.    IGC WomensNet   WomensNet supports women's organizations locally, nationally and worldwide by providing and adapting telecommunications technology to enhance their work.  This site also provides updates about various current events related to women's human rights.    International Center for Research on Women  The International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to  promoting social and economic development with women's full participation. ICRW generates quality, empirical information and technical assistance on women's productive and reproductive roles, their status in the family, their leadership in society, and their management of environmental resources. This site provides information about ICRW, its publications and further link sites.    Women's Resource Project: Women's Resources on the Internet   Great links to a variety of topics to start off researching    Virtual Sisterhood  Virtual Sisterhood, a global women's electronic support network, is dedicated to strengthening and magnifying the impact of feminist organizing through promotion of electronic communications use within the global  women's movement.    Women in Development Network (Widnet)  A clearing house of information about gender issues.  Provides information about the conference in Beijing, policy papers about gender, and a host of other resources    Women's Studies Information Sources (University of York)  An excellent resource page that provides valuable links to other research and resource sites    Women's Studies Resources  The University of Maryland women's studies database,  serves those people interested in the women's studies profession and in general women's issues.    Women and Gender Resources on The World Wide Web   This site is composed of a comprehensive list of links to a great number of topic areas related to women and gender on the internet      top of the page

International Organizations   The Center for Development and Population Activities   The Center for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA) is a women focused nonprofit international organization whose mission is to empower women at all levels of society to be full partners in development.  This site has information about CEDPA's programs, publications and partners    United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM)   UNIFEM promotes women's empowerment and gender equality. It works to ensure the participation of women in all levels of development planning and practice, and acts as a catalyst within the UN system, supporting efforts that link the needs and concerns of women to all critical issues on the national, regional and global agendas.     top of the page
