BACK ON THE JOB

As part of the latest Israeli offensive, the army imposed a strict curfew between the period April 3 - 20, 2002 on the Nablus area, preventing all employees from the PALTEL headquarters from coming to work. During this period, many of the company's activities were operated from areas free of curfew such as Gaza, Al Ram, and Jerusalem. On April 21, 2002 the curfew was lifted and PALTEL employees were able to attend to the office to resume their responsibilities and asses damages incurred by the army. A task force from PALTEL is currently assessing all damages incurred to property, cable, Internet, network, and telephone lines as a result of the recent events. Repair work has begun in earnest to restore all services in the shortest possible time.
