Question: What are the recent projects that have been implemented?
Answer:
· Phone line installations increased by %300 percent in three years exceeding 260,000 subscribers in total.
· Multi services data communications, which offer high, speed Internet connection, distance learning, Tele medicine and video on demand.
· Public payphone installations throughout Gaza and West Bank.
· Completing Internet infrastructure and connecting it with the backbone of the Internet network.
· New services such as: Toll Free number (1 800), Voice mail, and pre paid cards (Ahla).
Q: What lies behind the new reduction campaign on the installation fees of additional phone lines?
A: This measure was tackled as a step towards serving customers, providing them with reasonable prices, connecting the whole Palestinian area with telephony services and providing additional lines for customers with Internet access to facilitate receiving their calls on the other line.
Q: Why won't PalTel disconnect all hotlines off access?
A: All hotline numbers are regular numbers, thus cutting them off service means total call disconnection with the country from which these numbers are listed.
As PalTel stresses the necessity for customers to control their own outgoing calls and telephone lines, we have established a special section to notify subscribers in case of repeated outgoing calls to such numbers (hotlines) before bills are issued.
