Paltel is a public shareholding company, established by a Palestinian capital of Ninety Six Million US Dollars ($96 Millions) by the contribution of a group of investors, banks, national companies & institutions and over 8000 citizens.

Since its start of duties on 1/1/1997, Paltel managed to achieve distinguished and remarkable accomplishments, which had a profound impact on the uplifting of the Telecommunications Sector level and the construction of the Palestinian national & independent Telecommunications System.

Paltel's main objective is to develop, operate and manage the telecommunications sector in the Palestinian areas and to provide state-of-the-art and high qualitative telecom services aiming at a wide network coverage throughout Palestine. The company will focus on achieving customer satisfaction and building shareholder value by continuously increasing its market share, broadening client base, applying suitable tariffs, and developing data communication services, fixed and mobile telephone lines, along with data transmission, Internet, payphones, leased circuits and a plentiful range of value-added services.

Telecommunications and IT sector has undergone greatest developments & changes in recent years with astonishing speed scope. So either we face the risk of being left behind or we strive to keep pace with technological changes, meet an ever increasing demand for a wide variety of services and derive maximum benefit from current technologies for an accelerated migration towards future growth. PALTEL has accepted the challenge & initiated a comprehensive investment in upgrading the telecom infrastructure of the West Bank and Gaza. Phone line and Public payphone installations, which are vastly penetrating Gaza and the West Bank. Multi-Services Data Communications as Frame Relay, ATM and ADSL services, which offer: high speed Internet connection, distance learning and Tele-medicine. Jawwal, Palestine GSM Cellular Network, which is continually experiencing exceptional growth since launching in October 1999. Digital Leased Lines, voice mail service, video telephone and more and more of a wide spectrum have advanced telecommunication services.

ISO Accreditation

Extensive efforts per implementing quality controls enabled PALTEL to obtain the ISO 9002 certificate by the SGS UK, LTD., for International Certification Services, in recognition of initiating a company-wide Total Quality Management System (TQM), to improve service quality and customer satisfaction. PALTEL is the first quality assured telecommunication firm complying with ISO 9002 Standard in the Middle East region.
