AS POLITICAL TURMOIL INTENSIFES IN PALESTINE, PALTEL HELD ITS FIRST EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING FOR THE YEAR.

At the start of a New Year, PALTEL convened its first Executive Board Meeting in Ramallah on January 21, 2002. Despite the intensified political turmoil in the regions during the past couple of weeks, and tighter road closures between Palestinian cities, PALTEL's management was determined to continue with all scheduled plans. The Board reviewed last year's outcomes along with the current year's goals.

With their new CEO and organizational restructuring in process, PALTEL is entering the New Year with a new direction. Entering its sixth year of operation, the company's main goals in the past few years were concentrated on infrastructure development along with adding new services. The company's new direction is on commercial aspects with a focus on the customer. This said, PALTEL is in process of launching a number of programs which are aimed at increasing customer satisfaction and streamlining procedures.

For further servicing of the customer, PALTEL plans to heavily concentrate on expanding its high tech base. Apart from just installing telephone lines, PALTEL is fully equipped to provide many high tech services such as ISDN, leased lines, internet connectivity, frame relay, and in process, ATM, and ADSL.

Through many of PALTEL's services, Palestinian children are able to explain and openly question their cause. These children are now able to "Tell the World" their dreams of living in a peaceful and independent Palestinian State free from occupation.
