New CEO for Paltel

Following the assignation of Mr. Halawani (ex-CEO) as the Minister of Water and Irrigation by the Jordanian government, Mr. Zahi Khouri has been appointed recently as the Acting CEO for Paltel, during the last Board of Directors' meeting, held on 25 June 00. Mr. Mohammad Ali was assigned as Vice-Acting CEO during the same meeting.

Mr. Khouri is a Vice-Chairman in Paltel's Board of Directors (since the company's duties assumption in 1 January 1997); a businessman who has returned to his homeland before 5 years and has worked abroad with expertise exceeding 40 years.
During a press conference held after the meeting, he emphasized that nothing would affect plan implementation, even the changes in the upper management. He went further to stress the transparency in the company's policy, due to the Total Quality Management System followed by Paltel, which eventually led to the accreditation of the ISO 9000 certificate. He touched upon the accomplishments achieved by the company and the latest technologies deployed for this end. By elaborating on Paltel's future aspirations and current undertakings, Mr. Khouri ended.
