PalTel Expands the Telephony Network in Jerusalem Area

PalTel has recently conducted many projects in the Jerusalem Area to provide telephony services. Deir Qdeis village was finally provided with telephony services after being denied this right for many years. The new exchange was operated to serve western Ramallah areas, which are part of the Jerusalem District, as Deir Qdies and Kharbatha Bani Hares villages. Some of the other villages that will be connected to this exchange are: Beit 'Ora Et-Tahta (lower) & El-Foqa (Upper), Safa, Na'lein, Deir 'Amar Camp, Jamalah, Bittelo, Qibia, Bidrous, Shiqba, Beit Sira, Kharbatha El-Misbah and Beit Liqia. The current capacity of this exchange is about 10,000 subscribers.

Additional new devices are now being installed for serving Kufr Ni'meh and Ba'lein villages through the Wireless Local Loop (WLL) to conclude fixed network operations there.

Extensive work is proceeding on upgrading and expanding Beir Nabala's telephone network within a short period ahead to serve all un-served areas during the current year.
