Jordanian Telecommunications Company Delegate Visits PalTel
A delegate from the Jordanian Telecommunications company headed by His Excellency
and Chairman of the Board, Mr. Sleiman El-Hafez, held a three-day visit to PalTel. The
two parties discussed issues of mutual interest and examined the possibilities for future
cooperation aiming at improving the Telecommunications sector on various levels. They
explored the company's accomplishments, projects and future plans.
Their visit included the Headquarters at Nablus, the West Bank Regional District and its
Billing Center (in Ramallah), and Gaza Regional District (in Gaza). In addition, they
visited the International Exchange of the GSM at Al-Bireh, which was launched
commercially on 15 August 1999, and finally Gaza's backbone national exchange, which
is considered the cornerstone toward the Palestinian Network's total independence.
