Falouji: Direct telephony connection between
Palestine-Egypt & Palestine-Jordan
Recently, It was agreed by the Ministry of Post &
Telecommunications, to allow direct telephony traffic exchange
between Palestine and both Jordan & Egypt following Israels
approval. Subsequently, plans for microwave networks
construction are currently underway on both Palestinian-
Jordanian, and Palestinian-Egyptian tracks.
According to the Minister, Mr. Falouji, such connections will
take place within a month, and are considered a step towards
total disconnection off the Israeli network. Actually, this
measurement would save huge amounts of money wasted in
return for traffic routed through Israel. He added that the
Palestinian Internal telephony traffic is totally independent, while
the international one is partly connected and is expected to be
totally separated within two month.
