Addition of Canada and Singapore Will Bring Palestine Gateway Code Recognition to
25 Countries
The recent addition of Canada and the expected enrollment of Singapore in early
November bring the number of countries recognizing Palestine's 970 gateway code for
international traffic to 26. Other countries now recognizing the code include: Saudi
Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Sudan, Algeria, Oman, Qatar,
Morocco, Yemen, Greece, Turkey, Hungary, Belgium, Sweden, Brazil, China, India,
MCI World COM (U.S.A), Finland-Sonerra, and Britain. Negotiations are in progress
to sign mutual agreements with even more countries to recognize Palestine's independent
telephone code.
