PalTel Becomes first Telecommunications Company In the Middle East to Earn ISO
9002 Certification
At a special press conference held on November 3, the International Register of
Certificate Auditors SGS UK, LTD, in the presence of Hatem Al Halawani, President
and CEO of PalTel, announced that PalTel had earned its recommendation for ISO
9002 Certification.
The International Register of Certificate Auditors SGS UK, LTD added that Palestine
Telecommunications Company would be the first of all companies in the
telecommunications sector in the Middle East to be awarded ISO 9002 Certification.
ISO Certification is only awarded following a rigorous documentation to assure that
procedures at PalTel meet universal standards and specifications within the International
Market, and paves the way for implementing the principles of Total Quality
Management (TQM), according to PalTel's overall goals.
