As a native american, I sympathize heavily with the Palestinians. They face the same discrimination that my people faced( and still do, to somewhat of a lesser extent, today). The Israeli occupation of Gaza and the West Bank is, simply put, an imperialistic display. I can only hope that they are able to reclaim the land that was stolen from them, as my people were unable to do. (I recently reverted to Islam, which is why I have an arabic name even though im native am.)

Recently, my daughter has expressed interest in Islam, so I have been on a journey of exploration of your culture. At the same time I am getting involved in activism again. Our major focus is to inform the US public of the situation between the Jews and Palestinians in Isreal.Our other agenda is to make our politicians aware that we are onto the bias in the media that encourages the oppression of Palestinian people. At the time that the news group organizations have admitted to perpetuating a bias against Arabs in thier own homeland, American Jews have withdrew from the Democratic party to the Republican Party! I hope to learn more about your situation in Isreal, the historical events that formed the conflict and how america has created "terrorism" aka, freedom fighters among Palestine.
As a native american, I am very familar with how the media lies to promote their own agendas.

As with many other Americans, I do not completely understand the many, many years of hostilities between the Palestinians and the Israelis. I choose no side. I do understand the desire of both sides for a home and country. I do sincerely offer my condolences for all of those lost, and for the friends and families left behind.
