Director: Mohammad Subhi Zein-Eddin
Responsibilities:
- To have complete responsibility of the different
sections and units of the financial department.
- To have direct administrative supervision of all
the department employees, to guide them, follow up their work, and distribute the daily
duties in a way which guarantees the safety of the daily work.
- To endorse expenditure and receipt vouchers of the
ordinary and development budgets.
- To participate in the committees of financial
nature (committee of opening envelopes, tender, auction) and other committees.
- To supervise the application and implementation of
financial laws, regulations and instructions.
- To present the project of the normal budget to the
Mayor and the municipal council for approval.
- To use the money and the properties of the
municipality in the best possible manner.
- To supervise the application of the accounting
system and the accounting principles on the daily financial work of the financial
administration.
- To present recommendations and suggestions proper
for developing the work and increasing the revenues of the municipality.
- To coordinate the work of the financial department
with all the departments and sections of the municipality in order to perform the work at
the most possible efficient and effective level.
- To evaluate the performance of the financial
department employees and present the evaluation to the Mayor.
