Why we are

The centre gives long term training and work shops in making radio.  The basis of human communication is voice and the world is full of sounds.
The meaning of radio is to give significance to the
sounds; addresses and speech included.
Making radio is journalism, engineering skills,
acoustics, rhythm, music and even poetry.

The centre gives training in editing. How to create a piece of work, refine essential. For us journalism is to find out facts and feelings and tell a story. The centre tries to teach public journalism. Field work.

Amplifying peoples voices is a vital part of the
process of democracy.

The centre gives training in analog and digital sound engineering. We have workshops in radio documentaries, children´s programs, drama and music recordings.
We instruct craftmanship.

When there is a need we try to find a solution and get the best Finnish trainers. Our method is learning by doing. We learn ourselves and we´ll do our best that the trainees will learn.

The centre works for journalists working or wishing to work with a microphone. We are serving both public and private radios.
