ahmad qatamesh released!
Today, 15 April 1998, at around 1:00pm, after 5 years and 8 months in prison without charge or trial, Ahmad Qatamesh returned home.
Greeted by his wife Suha, daughter Haneen, relatives and scores of journalists, Ahmad was tired but relieved.
"He feels just like we do. He is angry about his long detention," said Suha, "and he is happy about being back amongst his family."
Ahmad said that he has one book of children's stories about to be published with more in the pipeline.
