"Administrative detention" or imprisonment without charge or trial, has been used by the Israeli military authorities to detain over 800 Palestinians since the signing of the Oslo Accords in September 1993.

Palestinian writer Ahmad Qatamesh, who has just been released on 15 April 1998 after serving the longest continuous period of administrative detention, was imprisoned without charge or trial for over five years and eight months. This website aims to tell his story, and the story of all Palestinian political prisoners.

Since his release the website will be amended to reflect this. Please see the News section for more details of his release and the protest section to send a letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu, concerning the remaining 250 Palestinion administrative detainees.
