HISTORY
The present four-floor library building was completed in 1978 with a capacity of 100,000 volumes. Since then the collection has been growing
steadily and has reached 66,000 volumes, primarily in English, Arabic and some other foreign languages such as French and Spanish. The periodical collection is
composed of about 500 titles that cater to the specialties offered at the University.

CLASSIFICATION
Bethlehem University Library follows the Library of Congress Classification scheme and features an open stack system.

BINDERY
The Library has its own bindery facility to bind and repair its book collection as well as to provide other related services necessary for
the Library.
LIBRARY LIAISON TEAM
The Library Liaison Team (L.L.T.) was initiated in 1984 to provide a channel of communication between the Library and the Faculty for the
purpose of improving library services and resources. The L.L.T. meets once a term with the representatives of the various departments. Information and ideas are
communicated both ways.
Archives
The Archives collects and preserves items of permanent value to the University: books, photos, programs, documents, correspondence, projects, articles,
souvenirs. These items reflect the history and growth of the University. The Archives has been relocated recently to the third floor of the Library. Sister
Agatha Diaz is archivist.
