"It is the sound of a multifloor cement home being reduced to rubble.

When you wake up to this sound your heart sinks and seems to merge with a the fear that is rolling around in your stomach."

A song sung by a 10 year old girl named Alla' at the Children's Parliament in Canada Camp in Rafah, Gaza. Alla's father, brother, and sister were killed when a missile was shot into their home by the Israeli military.

"Father, I see you crying; why are you crying.
Why can't my mother talk; she speaks with her eyes through tears
you kiss us anxiously; we don't understand.
father, if you're saying goodbye; we need you
No one can give us your love
you are present, past, and future.
you are awake (in our hearts).
stand and struggle for freedom against oppressors
because it's the fate of those who struggle
we are your sons, Palestine
no fear. no flexibility
with our blood, with our souls we sacrifice for a free Palestine."

He continued, "Soldiers hear ladies screaming and don't do anything. Sometimes they make fun of it. When you block the roads in and out of a village with mud and rocks, with soldiers 100 meters away, and a lady walks on top and slips and falls, and the soldiers laugh at her, this is not a military action. This is humiliation. If a whole nation is humiliated, what do you expect of them?
