Friends,
On the verge
of Palestine's Freedom Summer campaign, the Israeli military has
again taken its forces into West Bank towns and has unleashed
its military might on Palestinian cities. We fear that foreign
civilians coming to join Palestinians in nonviolent, direct-action
resistance to the Israeli occupation will again find themselves
acting as human shields - trying to get in the way of excessive
force being used by the Israeli military against Palestinian civilians,
and providing humanitarian assistance to civilians when Israel's
policies and military operations deny Palestinians food and medical
care.
It is urgent
that we get internationals in Palestine by the hundreds and thousands!

Along with
sending groups of trained foreign civilians into West Bank / Gaza
cities, towns and villages, we'd like to also send in at least
one digital camera and one laptop computer into each area so that
Palestinians and internationals can work together on documenting
the horrors of occupation, things the mass media outlets almost
never catch.
Unfortunately
we're quite shy of the equipment we had hoped to have: 20 digital
video cameras and 20 laptop computers. Therefore we are making
a direct appeal to our supporters for help obtaining this equipment.
