SPEAKING OF university life, a glimpse of academia and other aspects of life on the other side of the "closure" is now available on the new World Wide Web server of Bir Zeit University, at (http://www.birzeit.edu). OK, so they've jumped the gun by listing their address as "P.O. Box 14, Bir Zeit, West Bank, Palestine." But that's no reason not to check it out. Is it?
On the site, you can find information about the university and an archive of information and press releases about it. It also serves as a home for the "Palestinian Archive," (sic) described as a spot for "all things Palestinian."
