    • Program Description

    This 120 contact hour training program targets software developers and programmers who wish to acquire the skills necessary for designing and developing applications using ORACLE

    The training will be condensed and hands on. It will cover the full Oracle application development life cycle. It includes practical training where the trainees apply the concepts acquired by developing project from the environments they work in.

    The program is broken down into two modules. At the end of any module participants will be given an ORACLE CERTIFICATE for the modules they finished successfully

    Program Outline

    The Object Oriented Software Engineering Program consists of four modules. The Following is a brief description of each module

    Module I: SQL, PLSQL (64 hours)

    Part one

    SQL

    Prerequisites:

    Background in programming an database concepts
    This module is an introduction to the Structured Query Language SQL, it cover the basic concepts of SQL including the DDL and the DML commands. It contains application workshop to practically

    Part two

    PL/SQL

    Prerequisites:

    SQL
    The module begins with an overview of the PL/SQL conceots advantages, relationship to the oracle RDBMS and coding syntax. Instructionbuilds upon these PLSQL concepts with the development of PL/SQL scripts, database-0level stored procedures, functions, packages and triggers.

    Part three

    		 Advanced PL/SQL

    Prerequisites:

    PL/ SQL
    This module draws a real world examples to demonstrate advanced PL/SQL techniques used in the field today. It focuses on the extensive cursor usage and defining and Implementing PL/SQL records and tables, stored packages, procedures and functions.

    Module II Developer 2000 (56 hours)

    Title:

    Developer 2000

    Prerequisites:

    PL/SQL
    This module provides the student with the knowledge necessary to develop and implement GUI database applications, it uses the numerous and extensive exercise to learn how to use developer 200 forms. Trainees will acquire the skills needed to construct forms using wizards and in depth manual approach.
