Yahyia Yakhluf is considered to be one of the most prominent contemporary Palestinian novelists and short story writers.

* 1972: (The Mare) : 
Short story collection. Published by the Palestinian Writers’ Union (PWU), in Beyrouth

* 1976: (Najran Below Zero): 
This novel first brought Yakhluf recognition as an important Palestinian writer. Originally published by Beyrouth‘s Dar El Adaab, it was  translated into Russian in 1982, by Moscow’s  Foreign Languages Publishing House.

* 1978: (Norma & the Ice Man): 
Short story collection. Dar Ibn Rushd, Beyrouth.

* 1980: (That Rose of a Woman): 
Based on a real life childhood story, this novella is considered one of the most moving pieces of fiction in Palestinian literature. It is excerpted in English in S. Khadra-Jayyussi’s Anthology of Modern Palestinian Literature. Originally published by Beyrouth‘s Dar El Nawrass, it was  trasnlated into Russian in 1982  by Moscow’s  Foreign Languages Publishing House.

* 1981: (Apples for Lunatics): 
Dar El Haqaeq, Beyrouth.

* 1984: (Song of Life): 
Dar El Haqaeq, Beyrouth.

* 1991: (A Lake Beyond the Winds): 
Part of trilogy on the Nakba and its aftermath. Dar El Adaab, Beyrouth. Translated into English by PROTA in 1998 , published by Interlink Books, New York.

* 1993: (That Long Night): 
Dar El Adaab, Beyrouth.

* 1997: (A River Bathing in a Lake): 
Part of trilogy on the Palestinian Nakba and its aftermath, this novel was one of the first published dealing with the return of  exiles to Palestine. Dar El Shorouq, Amman.
 

Yahyia Yakhluf has also published a book of children’s stories, and writes regularly for the local press.  A number of his short stories have been translated into English and French in various publications.
