Anastas is the most well known Palestinian sculptor working today. Born in Bethlehem in 1952, he studied fine arts at the Iniaza Institute in Italy. He also has a BA in fine arts and has participated in a number of group exhibits in Jerusalem, Gaza City and Italy. He is a member of the Yabous artists group.
