    About this brand new Tour Guide Book:
    The Palestinian Association For Cultural Exchange (PACE) - Ramallah, in cooperation with The Palestinian Ibrahimi Center for Languages (PACL) - Gaza, have just published the English version of PACE Tour Guide of the "WEST BANK & GAZA STRIP - "PALESTINE". The guide book is a 288 pages text with color pictures and maps of the different archaeological and historical sites in both regions. The book was prepared by: Dr. Adel Yahya, and Dr. Hanna Abdel Nour from PACE and Dr. Muin Sadiq, archaeologist from Gaza. The first part of the guide (pp 1-39) includes an introduction by Dr. Adel Yahya, a brief history of Palestine, geography, population, customs and culture, traveling to Palestine, touring the Palestinian areas, transport and communications, banking and money exchange, accommodations and shopping. The second part (pp 40-211) presents the different archaeological and historical sites in the West Bank: Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Hebron, Jericho, Ramallah-al-Bireh, Nablus, North of Nablus (Sebastia, Jenin, Tulkarem & Qalqilya). The third part (pp 212-256) talks about the Gaza Strip: Beit Hanoun & Beit Lahya, Jabalya camp and village, Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, Khan Yunis, Rafah The last part (pp 257-288) includes a directory of the different tourist facilities in the Palestinian areas: Hotels, restaurants, hospitals, government offices and ministries etc.., it also includes a list of suggested readings and a note a bout the publishers of the guide.
