RE: (Fwd) Re: We lost a new Frame Relay @ Rafah
Dear
Ahmad
Let's
write them a letter today, and this letter we will ask them for their new
strategy, we sent them ours. And after that we will ask them for a meeting to
discuss both strategies. I know that there was a decision from the board asking
the ISPs about their opinion, but let's make it and them for their own new
strategy.
What
do you think?
Regards,
Ibrahim
Ibrahim & Ahmed,
We are losing the lead
on this issue. Why this tone that we are working 24 hours...as if they put us
in a spin or we don't know what we want?!! We know what we want and trying to
play nice with a 100M USD monopoly is going to pinch PITA. We need to regain
the initiative here. The ball should be back in PALTEL's court tomorrow before
the close of business.
I go back to my last suggestion that we refer to
the need for them to provide their plans, strategy, etc...IN WRITING. Also,
our letters should be sent in better English, especially when we decide to
send it to 100 peple at PALTEL.
Sam

Dear All,
First of all, PITA Board, ISPs and many other
individuals have been working around the clock for the past week to come
up with a strategy. I send our draft strategy to Dr. Abdel Rahman and he
replied back with three points that he would like to see in the Draft.
These point were added with some modification to the strategy, In our board
meeting this Saturday we will discuss this draft and after the approval it
will be sent back to Dr. abdel Rahman and after Paltel approval we will
announce a public workshop with Paltel and all the ISPs to discuss the new
strategy in public. In my opinion we are making progress on an issue that
has been lingering there for three years now.
My second point, having a
public forum to exchange ideas without a draft strategy that we all agree
to is non sense we have done that tens of time in Paltel HQ in Nabuls and
in the Grand Park hotel in Ramallah, nothing happened, just talk, so we are
not going to do it again unless we have a general understanding and basic
agreement on these issues and we can work the minor details
later.
Finally, I hope by the next week we will have a mutually
agreed upon strategy that will be beneficial to both of us. If you would
like to address all the ISPs in Palestine just post
to isps@pita-palestine.org and to address the board of PITA post to
pita@pita-palestine.org and we will post it for you. Take care and thanks
for listening
