Ahmed (and all),
This is good. I think we are almost there and it great to see
PALTEL finally
understood the soundness of our strategy. I do have a few
comments:
1. Spell check the document before sending.
2. You should be clear that if ISP's are committing to not compete
with
PALTEL's licensed services, then this defacto extends all services to a
state of
exclusivity to PALTEL, like fixed line to GSM!!! Is that what we
want? (refer
to PALTEL's reply #3 in your previous msg).
3. It is a shame that ISP's are giving up the part of the struggle
to have
PALTEL/MOPT reverse the strategy of PALTEL providing ANY end-user
Internet
service. I personally don't like settlement-type actions where we
are forced to
accept a status quo because it is there.
4. I do not think it is fair to make PALTEL meet Israeli
prices. We are two
different markets, two different stages of development, etc. Let's
talk about
competitive prices in general.
5. Where in the hell is the Ministry!? PALTEL knows damn well
that this
entire process means zero (signed or not) outside the scope of the
MOPT. It is
PITA's role not to bypass the entity responsible for sector
strategy.
6. I'm still shocked at the silence of the majority of ISP's which
have the
most to gain from all of this 3+ yr effort. I personally will start
to market
the ISP's that put their names and firms on the line for the better of
their own
business as well as the sector!
That's my two cents (or .03254 ag;-)
Salaam,
Sam
