Please find below my comments : there is no need to attach these points listed below to the strategy.. for the following reasons. - keep it simple and general .. we need to deal with principles only NOT details - the strategy document was approved by the General assembly of PITA as is, its not a good idea to amend it again.. - promotions and advertising is a bi-lateral relation between the individual ISPs and Paltel.. PITA can not enforce  that and it should not.. - point 3 in the new addition is a replication of point 4 and 5 of the strategy.. so if it is our turn to submit something (again), lets write them a good cover letter telling them how PITA is working hard to put an end to this fiasco and we do agree on their new terms( 3 points) providing that they agree on the attached PITA strategy...  and we can work on the details and on the enforcement of the strategy and their conditions once we get the approval. Lets for once put the ball in Paltel's court..

PITA also recommends that ISPs adopt the following strategy:
  • To work with conjection with Paltel through various promotions, advertisemens, price reductions and so on in bringing the Internet subscribers in a time frame to be agreed upon with Paltel in excess of 30K.

  • ISPs do not compete in IP telephony with Paltel.

  • Paltel Infrastructure to be used exclusively. Including using Paltel as the
  • Int'l Gateways for ANY ISP services, on condition that Paltel reduce prices and increase technical support standards to comparable level with existing providers. This should be done on a phase out period. PITA also recommend that
      1. Both parties agree to this startegy

      2. Paltel and ISPs put their acceptance to this policy in writing and in public statement.

      3. Paltel and ISPs submit a plan that clearly specify the time table for enforcing the strategy and methods used to excute and enforce the strateg.
