RE: Licensing fees for company's working with Telecom equipment
Dear Tareq and all

I would like to thank you for raising up this important issue, as you know
that we worked many times in the past with the ministry of trade and the
ministry of telecom to stop asking for such stupid license. In the past they
were charging JD 1000.00 for using the leased line, and now they are asking
for JD 400.00 and the other fees that you mentioned in your message.

We will ask for a meeting with Mr. Masri, the minister of economy and trade
and asked him for quick action towards stopping these licenses fees. And if
it will reach a point to do more, we will do it.

I hope by the next few days, we will be able to update you about the results
of our efforts.

Thanks again and best regards,

Ibrahim Barham, PITA
Chairman

Subject: Licensing fees for company's working with Tlecom equipment

Greetings,
I would like to bring to your attention the urgency of resolving the
issue of licensing company's working with any kind of telecom equipment
and services.
Today we received a note from the Ministry requesting that we consult
with the Ministry within five days in order to pay the licensing fees. I
believe that in addition to the fact that these fees are a real
impediment to the development of the sector in the good days, it
represent a flagrant act to request the renewal of such licenses during
the current situation when companies are struggling to survive.

I would like to remind you that the fees are as follows:
1)To import Telecom equipment : 1000JD / product line
2)To trade with such equipment : 400JD/product line
3) Leased line usage license : 400JD

Immediate action is truly needed.

Tareq Maayah
CEO
