This olive wood peace Dove is handmade with love by the Christian women and children in the village of Jesus birth. They have made it with patience, love and the greatest hope that the world will finally hear their voices. They ask only for peace.

Enshrouded our land,
The war cry filling the Holy Land,
The Dove of sweet world peace,
No longer could stay,
She spread her wings,
"And flew weeping away."

2. The rumbling of tanks,
And the beats of frightened hearts,
The Dove of sweet peace,
fled Bethlehem the cradle of Peace,
Till the war shall cease.

3. She has flown to a distance,
In quiet to dwell,
There weeping and cooing
In her quiet lone cell,
A waiting the hour,
When the rainbow of peace
Shall burst the dark cloud,
And the war-cry shall cease.

4. When the dark cloud of war
Enshrouded our land,
And the war-cry resounding,
all over the Holy Land;
The Dove of world peace,
No longer could stay,
On her light wings she --
"Flew weeping away."
