The Arts and Crafts Village was established in July 1998. Its traditional building was designed by a Palestinian architect and was built by Palestinian laborers using mud and local building materials. The project was funded by the United Nation Development Program (UNDP), implemented and supervised by Palestinian European Council for Development and Reconstruction (PECDAR) as part of its job creation program. The Village is one of centers which belongs to the Municipality of Gaza. It manages it and takes over all its operational expenses. more details..
