The Village is located in Gaza City. The area of the Village is 1000m². It is distinguished of its beautiful atmospheres and it includes 4 handicraft workshops which produce 4 different traditional famous crafts in Gaza city.

   These workshops included in the Village are: The Rug House, Embroidery House, Copper House and Glass House. In addition to that, the Village contains a 250m² Gallery hall surrounds a small courtyard with a fountain in the middle, brings back to minds the nice & lovely evenings in the old houses. The yard is  full of trees and flowers; it is used for the summer activities.

   The Village also contains the Abu-Nawwas, a traditional café with its simple furniture and its ambience which is redolent of the Nargeela smell where the visitor feels himself in an old oriental place.

   Visitors to the Village can also see a small and a wonderful library, it contains 111 books of all art kinds: Photography, Sculpting, Design, Plastic arts, Palestinian History and arts and others. The library is open to the public, it enriches art and serves all interested people with its valuable contents.

   The Village is one of the Municipality of Gaza centers. The Municipality takes the rule to manage the Village and supervise its activities. The line management of the Village seeks to support the traditional handicrafts, it supply the handicraftsmen with the workshops in return for a small ratio from their total sales value, the thing, which keeps the handicraftsmen operating their business without any tiring expenses.

   The Village also aims to develop the Palestinian arts through supporting the local artists. It allows them to exhibit their works to the public and also exhibits works of Arab and foreign artists to increase the experience of the local artists and give them the opportunity to communicate with other artists from outside the country.

   Hand by hand, the Village with the community and the cultural establishments in the Gaza Strip, is seeking to develop the methods of teaching arts and crafts in the schools.
