Visitors Section
During the 1996/97 academic year, the Public Relations Office received and
briefed around 6,000 visitors. This figure included around
4,000 students from local schools, approximately 200
international students studying or participating in
university courses or workcamps, and guests from around the world. A number of the groups required special lectures tailored to their particular
interests. Several tours were organised by the Office to
places as diverse as Nablus, Hebron, the Golan Heights, and
Jerusalem, briefing political leaders, diplomatic
representatives, international students, journalists and
others. The Office also welcomed many Palestinians returning
to visit from the Diaspora, including several PLO
ambassadors and others.
