The Law Center welcomed Dr. Najib Nu'aimi, the Qatari Minister of Justice, and an official delegation from Qatar, in May 1996. The Minister came on behalf of His Highness Sheik Hamad Ben Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar who has generously supported the Center by providing funding towards the construction of a second floor for the new Law Center building, a professorship in international law, and international legal materials for the library.
The fisrt class of students for the Master of Laws Program started on September 9, 1996. For more information, please see Master of Laws Program.
The Law Center started its professional training courses in June starting with Administrative Contracts, as well as Legal Writing and Drafting. The course is being followed by Palestinian lawyers and legal professionals. For more information please see Professional Training Courses.
