Palestinian Residency in Jerusalem:  A Question of Changing Reality

Israel has forced hundreds if not thousands of Palestinians from Jerusalem to leave the city and has deprived them of their residency rights. Many more are threatened with what has become known as a "quiet deportation," deportation by procedure. The Fourth Geneva Convention considers deportation a "grave breach" of the convention--equivalent to a war crime in customary international law.
