SEND A LETTER TO ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER BINYAMIN
NETANYAHU WITH A COPY TO YOUR OWN FOREIGN MINISTRY
Write a letter to Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanhayu raising the importance of resolving the Gaza students issue. Demand that the Israeli government:
- State unequivocally their support for the Gaza students right to continue their education at the university most suited to their academic and personal circumstances;
- Adopt, publish, and follow standardized and transparent procedures which will enable all students to continue their studies uninterrupted.
Send a copy of the letter to your foreign ministry. It is important that goverment leaders all over the world become informed about the difficulties faced by Gaza students, and the potential to solve them.
SEND A LETTER TO THE ISRAELI DIPLOMATIC
REPRESENTATIVE IN YOUR COUNTRY OR CITY
Use the attached List of E-Mail Address for Israeli Consulates and Embassies Abroad to find the Israeli diplimatic representative located nearest to your hometown and send them a letter. If you don't find a nearby representative, contact the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs with your message. Follow-up the letter with a phone call, request to meet with a member of the staff about the issue of Gaza students.

1. B'Tselem ("Speak Up for Academic Freedom")
B'Tselem, one of the leading Israeli human rights organizations, is in the midst of organizing a parallel campaign. Read about their campaign at http://btselem.netgate.net or contact the B'Tselem office for more information.
2. Watch for follow up on the Cambridge University Palestinian Society Committee (UK) Petition Drive
The Cambridge University Palestinian Society Committee spearheaded a petition drive on behalf of the Gaza students and faculty. The petitions were submitted to Israeli diplomatic representatives in 17 countries on 3 March 1997. Details about the the petition drive can be found at their website or contact the International Coordinator Nick Guyett directly.
