ASHTAR as a producer and trainer
At ASHTAR Theatre for Productions
and Training we like to think that
we have a dual vision - or rather a single vision comprised of two integral
parts:
| As a theatre for productions, we are
a small professional company, committed to improving the standards of Palestinian
theatre through creating a new dedicated theatre generations. We also want
to build cultural bridges with the world theatre through exchanging and
co-producing.
As a theatre for training, we present young Palestinian men and women with the opportunity to learn, through acting, about themselves and the world around them. We encourage them to develop a personal, critical voice....and a creative one. We stretch the imagination and challenge the restrictions of everyday life. However, in our vision and practice, these two realms necessarily overlap and interconnect. Therefore we are presenting them together under the heading listed below. |
