As a palestinian who has been living in England for the last thirteen years,I was pleasently surprised to come across your web site. I especially enjoyed the pictures of my old school 'Friends School'. It brought back so many nice memories. Well done!

Best maraheb from Greece to all of you guys out there. I work for Consolidated Contractors Company, The biggest construction contractor in the Middle East and numbered 21st construction contractor in the World, and is owned by two great palestinians, Mr. Hasib Sabbagh and Mr. Saeed Khoury. Our main offices are in Athens, Greece. Our hearts and love go to Ramallah and the rest of our usurped Palestine, especially at this time when Israel is celebrating its despotic and oppressive 50th birthday.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are embarking on a new mellinium, we are near, yet so far. We have a tremendous load to unload; I know we can do it, but not on an individual basis. We have to join hands together and keep up this flame of hope, enthusiaism, and peace. Last but not least, Salam to each and everyone of you wherever you are. Issam Hawit

please place copy from ADC under "50 years", sub title "help us tell the story." HELP US TO TELL THE STORY It should not go unnoticed that WHILE ISRAEL CELEBRATES THE 50th ANNIVERSARY OF ITS CREATION, PALESTINIANS COMMEMORATE THE 50th ANNIVERSARY OF THEIR DISPOSSESSION AND SUFFERING. In an effort to communicate this story to the world, funds are being raised to place a full-page ad in the nationally syndicated Washington Post. ATTENTION ALL PALESTINIANS: In an effort to preserve part of the rich culture and delicate history of Palestine and its people I am doing research on the foods of Palestine. I may even write a small cookbook. I need your help. If you or your wife/mom/grandma make a special dish, can you mail me the recipe? I will need to know what town you are from in Palestine. If there is a special story behind the food, can you include that too? You can email me and if you have a friend who is interested in this, can you ask them to mail me? Many thanks! To all my fellow brother and sisters from Ramallah, it is our duty to keep our culture alive. As a young palestinian, born in the states it is especially hard to do that. With websites like this and others we are able to gain knowledge of our culture, therefore helpig us to gain respect and love for our nation, Palestine. Just recently I have seen so many teenagers wanting to become a part of our culture, and that truly moves me. We should all be proud. I am constantly yearning to learn more about my culture, and thanks to this web site, I have moved one step closer to my goals of attaining knowledge of my heritage. Thank you once again and keep up the great work!! To all my brothers and sisiters, e mail me. I would love to hear from each and every one of you. Ma'a Salamah

Dear Friends, With reference to my last entry in this guest book, please note that the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Centre, which produces the Al-Nakba site http://www.alnakba.org, is in Ramallah. It would be great if you made a link to the Al-Nakba site from your excellent homepage. Thanks. Zahi

What's up? aw yeah-Palestine in da House. Sweet little site. I just wanted to say how unbelieveable the conventions are! Detroit was my first convention and it was the best! I had such a blast and the greatest friends ever. It's the best experience that can only be understood by people who go. And tho i miss all the really sweet people I met, the convention is still "da bomb". So go go go go go. Palestine! woohoo-

Dear Friends, I am writing to draw your attention to the Al-Nakba site on the Internet http://www.alnakba.org/. This site is dedicated to the commemoration of the 50 years of dispossession. It is produced by The Khalil Sakakini Cultural Cente in the West Bank. It has a listing of destroyed villages, chronology of events, survivors testimonies, a photo gallery, bibliography and provides related links. It is extremely well done! I strongly urge you to visit the site. I think it is the kind of site that is consistent with the content of your excellent homepage and I would suggest that you make a link to it. The email address to contact is sakakini@sakakini.org. I also think it would be great if visitors to your page were encouraged to sign the Guest Book at the Al-Nakba site. It seems to me appropriate for our people in Palestine to know they are not on their own. So far, ADC National (under the "Palestine 50 Years of Dispossession Link), ADC University of Michigan, ADC New Orleans, ADC NYC and The American Committee on Jerusalem (Front Page) have made links to the site. In addition, a number of Arab and non-Arab personal homepages have made links. Ray Hanania, award-winning Palestinian author, has also written article and provided a link from his homepage. Other Chapters and organizations have been contacted with information on the site and with a request that they link to it and sign the guest book. Reminders about the 15 May 50 year commemoration rallies have been sent out with these messages. Please help us in this effort by informing your organization and contacting organizations you are familiar with. There is no time like the present!!! I look forward to your comments. Thank you and Keep up the good work! Zahi Damuni, Ph.D. ADC-Central PA Vice President
