August & September Guest List

Good Photos, avoid the powerlines. Enjoyed the sights. Our presence is graced by an insider: Linda Salem. We only believe half of the stuff she's said about you guys. Keep it up, we appreciate this web site, and especially your efforts in its administration.

Since the Detroit 97 convention, the Detroit Ramallah club has changed for the better! There is a renewed spirit within the club and it is fabulous. New activities for children and adults, meetings, and haflas are just a part of what is going on. We must work together to sustain our culture and heritage that is SO VERY IMPORTANT. Keep up the excellent work DETROIT!!!!!!! God Bless all of you!!

I was born on Long Island, New York, but have been in England since I was two years old. I do have dual nationality though! I am training to be a lawyer, and am attending The College of Law in London. I have been working for a law firm for about 3 years. Last year (1996) I was a member of the legal team defending two Palestinians, Samar Alami and Jawad Botmeh, who stood trial at the Old Bailey charged with organising the July 1994 bombings in London of the Israeli Embassy and Balfour House. They were convicted and sentenced to 20 years. They are innocent; this is a miscarriage of justice. We have a campaign support group, 'Freedom and Justice for Samar and Jawad'. Our aim is to publicise their wrongful convictions. We already have the support of many British MPs, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Judith Ward, and the leaders of Samar and Jawad's legal defence team; Ms Gareth Peirce and Mr Michael Mansfield QC. The support of further prominent and influential figures is vital and is being sought. We are in the process of writing and publishing a booklet outlining the case. This booklet will also be available on a forthcoming webpage for Samar and Jawad. All messages of support for Samar and Jawad sent to my e-mail address will be forwarded to them and are greatly appreciated. As are all offers to help distribute the booklets, leaflets etc in the United States to raise awareness there. I would like to hear about organisations, webpages etc in the USA or elsewhere, that it would be helpful for me to contact. They are not guilty, their defence was essentially a political one based on attempts to defend friends and family suffering from Israeli aggression in the Occupied Territories. Realistically, we need information about the real bombers to win an appeal. I will be happy to answer any questions about Samar and Jawad and their case. Thanks (in advance) for your messages of support.
