The following table is taken from Dr. Mousa Abu Hamid, General Director of The General Administration of Palestinian hospitals. It is a sample of injuries from various hospitals from 1 October, 2000 and indicates the clear targeting of young people with live ammunition fired at the upper body area.

From analysis of the above statistics:
1. The percentage of injuries to the upper body is 78%.
2. The percentage of injuries to individuals under the age of 20 is 50.2%
3. The percentage of injuries to individuals under the age of 30 is 92.8%.
4. The percentage of injuries from live ammunition is 20.8%
5. The percentage of injuries from rubber coated steel bullets is 71%.
6. The percentage injured admitted to hospital is 30.3%.
7. The number of martyrs is 6.
