Sample of Injuries from Palestinians admitted to hospitals in the Northern Area of the West Bank

The following table is taken from Dr. Mousa Abu Hamid, General Director of The General Administration of Palestinian hospitals. It is a sample of injuries from various hospitals from 1 October, 2000 and indicates the clear targeting of young people with live ammunition fired at the upper body area.

3. The percentage of injuries to individuals under the age of 30 is 92.8%.

4. The percentage of injuries from live ammunition is 20.8%

5. The percentage of injuries from rubber coated steel bullets is 71%.

6. The percentage injured admitted to hospital is 30.3%.
