A strict Israeli imposed closure remains in place throughout the
West Bank and Gaza Strip. Israeli settler attacks on Palestinian
residents and the bulldozing and destruction of agricultural lands
continues in the majority of cities and villages in the West Bank
and Gaza. Five Palestinians were killed today and at least 90
injured, 5 of which are in critical condition, in clashes throughout
the area.
Shadi Awwad Odeh, 18 years old from Al Zaytoun, Gaza City, was
shot and killed today by live ammunition to his head.
Hazem Moussa Abu Daf, 22 years old from Al Zaytoun, Gaza City,
was shot and killed today by live ammunition to his head.
Mohammad Hillis, 23 years old from Shuja'iyeh, Gaza City, was
shot and killed today by live ammunition to his head.
Mahmoud Ahmad Ghali Abu Al Khair, 20 years old from Shuja'iyeh,
Gaza City, was shot and killed today by live ammunition to his
head.
Tha'er Ibrahim Zaid, 17 years old from Jalazoune Refugee Camp,
near Ramallah was shot and killed today by live ammunition to his
abdomen, with the bullet lodging in his heart.
Ramallah
Clashes erupted this afternoon at the northern entrance of Al Bireh,
with at least 17 Palestinians injured as a result of live ammunition
to the upper body. Eyewitnesses report that the Israeli military
shot at an ambulance attempting to reach those injured. Tha'er
Ibrahim Zaid, 17 years old from Jalazoune Refugee Camp was shot
and killed during clashes by live ammunition to his abdomen. At
the time of writing, clashes have erupted at the entrance of
Jalazoune Refugee Camp, on the outskirts of Ramallah.
Gaza
Clashes erupted this afternoon throughout the Gaza Strip. At
Mentar crossing, 4 Palestinians were killed during clashes, all as a
result of live ammunition to the head, including: Shadi Awwad
Odeh, 18 years old from Al Zaytoun, Gaza City; Hazem Moussa
Abu Daf, 22 years old from Al Zaytoun, Gaza City; Mohammad
Hillis, 23 years old from Shuja'iyeh, Gaza City; Mahmoud Ahmad
Ghali Abu Al Khair, 20 years old from Shuja'iyeh, Gaza City. At
least 15 Palestinians were injured as a result of live ammunition to
the upper body. CNN correspondent, Ben Wydmen, was also shot
in the abdomen by live ammunition.
In Rafah, clashes resulted in the injury of 25 Palestinians by live
ammunition to the upper body. Clashes also erupted in Deir al
Balah and Khan Younis, where 5 Palestinians were injures as a
result of live ammunition to the upper body.
Bethlehem
Israeli settlers opened fire this morning on residential areas in the
Palestinian village of Al Khader, injuring at least 10 Palestinians.
Clashes erupted in the village after the Israeli military arrived in
the
area. At least 4 Palestinians are in critical condition as a result of
clashes, with eyewitnesses reporting that Israeli soldiers and
settlers were shooting at ambulances attempting to reach those
injured. Salim Harbeh Mattariyeh, 34 years old from Al Khader,
was announced clinically dead as a result of live ammunition to his
head from Israeli settler fire.
Late this evening, the Israeli military used tanks to shoot at
residential areas in the village of Beit Jala. A number of homes
were damaged, with no injuries reported to date. Israeli tanks also
fired at least 10 shells at Beit Sahour this evening, causing severe
damage to a number of homes.
Nablus
Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian cars this afternoon on the main
road between Nablus and Ramallah, injuring at least 5
Palestinians.
Jenin
Brief clashes erupted this afternoon in the Jenin area.
Eyewitnesses report that Ahmad Mustafa Abdel Razeq Wahdan,
19 years old from Tayasir, near Jenin, was kidnapped this
afternoon by Israeli settlers from the settlement of Mahouleh. His
whereabouts remains unknown.
Jerusalem
Brief clashes erupted this afternoon in Hizmeh, Jerusalem. An
arrest campaign conducted by the Israeli authorities in areas of
Jerusalem was intensified today.
Jericho
Late this evening, Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian residential
areas in the northern section of Jericho. The attacks continue at
the time of writing.
