The Engineering Division started its work after the establishment of the municipality. It is responsible for the supervision and management of different related affairs in the city, such as:

1. Checking the engineering plans before being licensed.
2. Preparing the City Master and Detailed Plans.
3. Managing the municipality building plans.
4. Preparing the necessary studies, reports and designs for the city various project.
5. Conducting the municipality survey works.
6. Supervising the implementation of the municipality projects.
7. The control on the implementation of the organizational regulations.
