FORTH CONFERENCE (BUSINESSMEN & PROFESSIONALS

Dear Brothers And Sisters,

You are cordially invited to participate in the Fourth Conference of Palestinian Expatriates (Businessmen and professionals) which will be held in Palestine Augast 7-9, 2000 under the Patronage of H.E. President Yasser Arafat And the sponsorship of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation / Department of Expatriate Affairs.

The Conference will include discussions on subjects of concern to our people in the Diaspora and in Palestine: The opening session will be mostly ceremonial where President Arafat will set the highlights of what is needed from our expatriates (Investment, Transfer of Technology, Professional expertise, etc.). He will also discuss what the PNA can provide to the expatriates at their country of residence or when they RETURN to Palestine. Dr. Nabil Shaath – Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Chairman of the Conference will speak briefly on the political issue and the peace process. Expatriates Representatives will also address the Session.

Other sessions will include speeches by cabinet members, PNA officials and businesspeople: expatriates and local. Each session will include ample time for discussion and exchange of ideas. Participants will meet with President Arafat, Public officials, private sector executives of the business, social and cultural community.The second day of the Conference will be dedicated for JERUSALEM.

During Conference days, participants will visit various sites of tourist, industrial, and cultural significance. After the conclusion of the Conference, an Optional Program (Aug. 10-17) will commence. This part of the program will include visits to Palestinian major cities: Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Ramallah/Al-Bireh, Jericho, Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarem and Qalqeelia.

Your participation will be greatly appreciated and you will find it to be a rewarding experience. The joint effort of our people abroad and at home can make a big difference and bring closer our dream of having our Independent Palestinian States with Jerusalem as its Capital.
