JOINT RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT FUND

According to Ha'aretz newspaper (Tuesday, August 24, 1999), the Palestinian National Authority and Israel are planning to establish a joint research and development fund, which will include a third partner. The U.S., Canada, and the EU have shown interest in the partnership. The first fund is expected to get underway in the beginning of 2000. According to the Ha-aretz, there will also be an international join information campaign to attract investors. The campaign, whose first stop will be in the USA in October, with focus on the advantages of joint projects in the light of the expected progress in the peace process.
